Fly to the Sky Day

This July 27th marks the eighth anniversary of ‘Fly to the Sky’ Day in San Francisco in support of the duo and the loving k-pop connection between South Korea and San Francisco!

Fly to the Sky are no strangers to San Francisco: in 2002, their single “Sea of Love” was filmed at the Palace of Fine Arts and at the Golden Gate Bridge. They’ve also performed throughout California including tour dates in SF, the Bay Area, and LA.

Part of SM Entertainment, Fly to the Sky debuted in 1999 with the single, “Day By Day”. The two piece group, consisting of Hwanhee and LA native Brian Joo, are known for their k-pop sound mixed with sultry R&B influences. In their seventeen years together, the two of them have won many prestigious awards, like the Bonsang Award at the Golden Disk Awards and Best R&B.Soul Music Style Award at the MelOn Music Awards.

To celebrate Fly to the Sky Day, we at KPOP-TV are hosting a contest where you can win some awesome Fly to the Sky merchandise! See the official rules and enter on our giveaway page! You can also tweet both Brian and Hwanhee about how you’re celebrating Fly to the Sky Day!
