San Japan 2017

Among the many anime conventions across the U.S., San Japan stands as the biggest in the Southern Texas region, hosting a three-day event in San Antonio. The convention began in 2007 with nearly 1000 attendees and has grown exponentially in size over the years!

The convention floor is filled with art exhibits, vendor and trader booths, a formal-attire masquerade ball, and concerts. But wait, there’s more! Don’t miss appearances and panel discussions featuring various voice actors, composers, manga artists, musicians, producers, and movie and TV directors — all from the anime genre.

Let’s not forget about the cosplay! Attendees dressed head-to-toe as their favorite characters and can compete in the Cosplay Show for prizes awarded by judges who are also successful cosplayers themselves.

This year’s event, named San Japan X for its 10th year, featured plenty of voice actors and artists, and also included performances by band ALL OFF and producer/DJ TeddyLoid. KPOP-TV VJ Mina gave us an all-access look into San Japan X, which you can check out below!
