Do you think you have what it takes to be the next Cherry Blossom Queen?
The Northern California Cherry Blossom Queen Program Committee is searching for young Nikkei women who are passionate about serving as an ambassador for the Japanese American Community of Northern California.
The 2015 Queen and Court will be chosen during the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival at the Sundance Kabuki Cinemas in April 2015.
Qualified Candidates must:

Have been or is currently an active participant in a community organization

Be at least 18 years old and not more than 26 years of age as of April 11, 2015

Be at least 50% Japanese

Be single and not previously married
-
Be a United States citizen who has lived in the Northern California area for at least 3 years OR a foreign national who has lived in the Northern California area for at least 3 years
Please submit one or more personal references, and an essay of up to 500 words in English or Japanese (translated), answering “Why I desire to represent the Japanese American community as Cherry Blossom Queen.”
