The staff at 24 Hour KPOP-TV were extremely lucky and excited to receive one of Inspire Me Korea‘s taster boxes this month, which are filled to the brim with Korean snacks, products, and more!

Upon opening the package, we were greeted by a large amazing assortment of goodies. Right off the bat, the snacks included in the package were the first things that caught our eyes! We received delicious dried seaweed, ‘cereal’ choco biscuits, chocolate mochi filled with black sesame cream, and our personal favorites — choco pies! But the fun didn’t stop there; underneath the snacks were a few K-Pop surprises too! Our inner fangirls came out in full force when we saw BTS’ RM and Seventeen’s Woozi staring back at us — in the form of adorable photo cards! This isn’t the only K-Pop merchandise Inspire Me Korea sells; the website also offers K-Pop stylings like earrings, and August’s monthly box is themed around music and said to include exclusive K-Pop badges and stickers too. Tucked delicately at the bottom of the box was a gorgeous postcard of Bukcheon Hanok Village in Seoul. The card immediately caught our attention; it was really fun to receive a souvenir from Korea that highlights a part of Seoul that people interested in visiting Korea may not have heard of before. This is why Inspire Me Korea is so perfect; it highlights cultural aspects or locations across Seoul that those have yet to visit would love to hear more about. Bukcheon Hanok Village is now on all of our bucket lists to visit (or re-visit)!
The holy grail of the box is the Inspire Me Korea magazine. We received the ‘motivation’ magazine issue, which celebrated lazy days, but also how to get yourself back to being productive after a lazy day too. A lazy day of watching too many K-Dramas is a feeling we can all relate to, so this magazine was extremely helpful!
Inside, designed and created monthly for each new box, the Inspire Me Korea magazine was full of hot spots to visit in Seoul, cultural events happening throughout the country, recipes, key vocabulary with Eggbun, and an interview with pop/electronic duo Heo. There is so much information packed into one gorgeously designed magazine, it’s hard to pick it up once you start reading! Our personal staff favorites were the articles about how to make doenjjang jjigae, learning more about the Nonsan Strawberry Festival and Goryeong Daegaya Experience (and adding them also to our bucket lists), and the “Bookworm’s Guide to Seoul,” which spotlighted cozy, romantic bookstores all across the city. If you’re looking for a well-rounded view of upcoming events, cultural customs, a focus on the arts in Seoul including artist interviews, and some delicious looking photos of street food, then this magazine cannot be overlooked!
