6 Fan-Favorite Idol Airport Looks

Style is a great way for a people to express themselves. An outfit can tell the story of who you are without ever saying a word and in K-Pop, outfits do just that. Stylists make sure to carefully craft an outfit to convey the concept of the comeback, music video, or album. Fans rarely get to see their favorite idols’ unique style, that is, until the idols step into the airport. Idols use the airport as a runway, showcasing their best outfits for photos to capture. Fans even use the looks from airport fashion for inspiration in their own wardrobes. Here are 6 fan-favorite airport looks that fans are still talking about today!

Loona’s Chuu: Comfy and adorable

By the looks of her outfit, Chuu likely keeps up a bit with the current fashion trends. She wore a plain, black long-sleeved shirt overlayed with a gray, cropped, printed sweater vest. For the bottom she wore a simple black tennis skirt, paired with some classic Dr. Martens. On her neck, she accessorized with a very small necklace to tie the look together. Chuu’s airport look is simple and comfy, yet shows off her adorable personality.

Stray Kids’ Jeongin & Hyunjin: A suave match

Hyunjin and Jeongin’s outfits were pretty similar to each other, giving off a suave look. Both boys wore black pants with black belts and a striped button up shirt. Hyunjin’s look (seen on the left) is a bit more simple, wearing a classic belt and just his button up, giving a bit more of a casual vibe. While Jeongin’s look (seen in the right) is a bit more refined, adding a black turtleneck under his button up and a circle shaped belt.

(G)I-dle’s Shuhua: Trendy and unique

Shuhua’s look (seen in the center) didn’t have many pieces but the ones she used were very trendy. She wore a mustard yellow oversized blazer, cinched with a belt to fit her form more. Oversized overlay items have been very popular, especially during the warmer months. The way she uses the belt to form fit allows her to look more refined and clean rather than casual and comfy, the usual airport expectation. The purse she carried is equally a statement piece because of it’s an odd cylinder shape, which made it look cool and unique.

EXO’s Chanyeol: Denim vibe

Chanyeol’s casual street style gives off a very chill, hipster vibe. He had on simple dark jeans, a pair of Converse, and a very oversized jean jacket. To clean up the look a bit, he rolled up the arms and gave his jacket a nice cuffed look. Even his bag matched his fashion; the dark duffle bag helping to add a more polished yet still casual vibe. However, the real statement piece of this whole look is his black brimmed hat that pairs very nicely with his glasses. The hat instantly ties the whole look together, changing the aesthetic from street style to hipster.

Red Velvet’s Irene: All-black girl boss

Irene’s airport look screams business woman and girl boss material. Irene wore an all-black ensemble all the way down to the shoes. She combined a simple black shirt and black jeans with a nice black belt. The thing that changed this look from street style to business casual instantly was her black blazer. It was well fitted to her body to give her a more polished look. She even added a small, black necklace around her neck to commit to the outfit’s overall aesthetic.

BTS’s J-Hope: Fashionable Fall

J-Hope’s look is a nice cozy-but-fashionable fall-inspired ensemble. He wore a blue sweatshirt with khaki-colored pants and Timberland boots. He paired his look with a green jacket and a unique style, baseball-esque hat giving this look a very street-style aesthetic. However, his plaid-printed outerwear jacket make this look a perfect wear for the fall. The colors of his look are more on the muted side until you get to his duffle bag whose deeper color scheme of dark green and yellow make it pop.
