KPOP-TV’S STAFF PICKS OF 2020

Without a doubt, 2020 was definitely a unique year. With all the setbacks, K-pop was able to pull through and still give us quality music and stunning videos. In no particular order, here are some of the songs that got us through this year.

ITZY – “Wannabe”

The iconic shoulder dance move… there is no more to say!

YooA – “숲의 아이 (Bon voyage)”

The video reminds us of the Japanese Studio Ghibli movie, Princess Mononoke. It’s very bright and uplifting, and it feels like a soundtrack for an adventure.

TWICE – “I Can’t Stop Me”

The song got us hooked at the first listen, which usually doesn’t happen quite often.  A super catchy tune with a modern twist to the disco-synth-pop concept!

AKMU – “Happening”

The sibling duo is back with lyrics and a music video that will fill you with emotion.

Seventeen – “HOME;RUN”

Seventeen changed up their style a bit and it’s really unique. A definite “home run” for them!

WJSN CHOCOME  – “흥칫뿡 (Hmph!)”

They brought back the Orange Caramel vibe, and it sounded so fresh in this modern era!

B1A4 – “영화처럼(Like a Movie)”

After Jinyoung and Baro left, we were afraid they’d never come back, but they did and are still going strong! B1A4 never disappoints in making something magical to BANA and showing their colors.

SF9 – “Good Guy”

SF9 served us a mature and elegant quality dance track.

BlackPink & Selena Gomez – “Ice Cream”

A great summer song!

NU’EST – “I’m In Trouble”

The video is creative and shows different areas of each members’ talents, along with their unique dance moves.

GFRIEND – “MAGO”

We could not get enough of the disco concept this year! The girls fit the concept so well.

ACE- “편지를 써 (Stand by you)”

This emotional rock ballad with great vocals brings a refreshing side to ACE from their usual EDM tracks.
