Founded in 1974, Korean Center, Inc., also known as KCI, is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to serving the San Francisco Bay Area community by providing educational, informational and social services. They hold a variety of exciting, Korean courses and activities for people of all ages.
KCI is currently taking applications for the fall session of their popular Korean Language Program! The program is partnered alongside the King Sejeong Institute and classes range from 11 to 15 weeks long dependent on the course. The classes have five levels of difficulty which range from learning to read Hangul to multi-level, intensive speaking classes.
Applications for the Fall 2018 of KCI’s Korean Language Program program close August 6, 2018 with classes beginning the following day on August 7, 2018. So get applying!
In addition to Korean language classes, KCI also offers an Afterschool Art Program! Beginning on September 10, Korean Center Inc’s youth program aims to teach children about different aspects of Korean culture through art. Some notable class projects include: making traditional Korean masks, decorating paper fans, and recreating Korean traditional ink paintings. Held every last Saturday of the month, KCI’s Youth Program is also holding Korean Story Time as well! Korean Story Time is held at 10:30AM at Charlie’s Corner Book Store in San Francisco where children age 0 to 7 can read Korean books. Light snacks will also be provided for children.
