Every year KPOP-TV trains a limited number of K-Pop fans and aspiring performers who wish to learn the skills needed to become a TV personality. On-Air Talent interns will attend weekly sessions in our San Francisco Bay Area studios, learning how to develop a TV persona and personal style, how to read from a prompter, how to make a script come alive, how to work with a TV crew and professional equipment, and get exposure to a variety of filming scenarios. Interns whose performance meets our standards will be able to actually see their work on our broadcast! Interns with exceptional performance may receive a letter of recommendation from the program director or receive an invitation to our advanced program (the benefits of which include access to press events, concerts and interviews).
Requirements for applicants:
- Minimum education high school grade level 11 or higher
- An overall mastery of reading and speaking the English language (note: foreign accents are accepted but must be at a level where they can be clearly understood by our national audience)
- Commitment to attend regular Saturday sessions during the 6-month internship
- Ability to take direction on not only performance, but also styling and makeup
- You value being a self starter, quick learner, and team player with a professional demeanor
