Kahi Returns as a Solo Artist with “It’s Me”

Kahi, the original leader of After School, has made her return to the music scene. After graduating from the group in September 2012, the singer/rapper took her time to craft a follow-up to her underrated ballad-dance hybrid, “Come Back You Bad Person.” The final result being “It’s Me,” another mix-genre track with Kahi opting for a funky, tango-influenced electro-pop single with a side of hip-hop, courtesy of a verse by rising rapper Dumbfoundead.

The music video for “It’s Me” is split into two parts: Kahi wandering around beautiful Barcelona and then joining her backup dancers for beautifully-arranged choreography on an all-white music video set. While the Barcelona shots are nice, Kahi truly shines on set when the energy is kicked up as she leads the dance troupe.

For those who wanted more of Kahi’s choreography, the singer shined an appropriate spotlight on her dance moves for her comeback performance on M COUNTDOWN. The former girl group member filmed a special black-and-white performance on a set similar to the video letting the non-stop choreography be center stage. Fans of Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” video will surely enjoy when the former girl group member wiggles her hips alongside her dancers.
