KPOP-TV has released the newest interview from its Music Makers: Special Date series, this time with the striking multitalent Grace! She is singer, rapper, composer and a YouTuber who was born in Korea but lived in the United States so she has a fascinatingly flexible personality that can adjust to both environments.
Recently I had the privilege of meeting this solo artist in Seoul. She is someone who emits such star power when she is on stage and also when she is talking to the camera on her YouTube channel, so I was surprised to see that she has a shy side. Grace revealed that she often isn’t sure what to say and that she can be introverted. Nonetheless she is genial and becomes quite charismatic when the conversation goes to just the right topic. While off camera, we chatted about what she does when she wants to film for YouTube but has no ideas, how she bounces back and forth between Korea and the U.S., and how she needs to get home to her cat. We both had a quick laugh right before starting the interview when she suddenly asked, “Is this PG-13?”
I have a lot of respect for someone who has been pursuing the music business despite several setbacks and changes in direction. Even though her career in performing includes several years of experiences—both good and bad—she seems like the kind of person who does not dwell on the discouraging parts or remember them in detail. I hope you can gain some encouragement from hearing her story and also come to appreciate her multifaceted and dynamic talents when you watch our interview.
